Rick Waterhouse loves working with kids! He taught first and third graders at the Downes Elementary School in the Christina School District in Newark, DE for 30 years.
After retiring in 2005, Rick worked as the program writer and one of the teachers at the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation museum in Smyrna, Delaware. He also expanded his children’s performance business.
Since then, Rick has performed at libraries in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, writing original shows for each CSLP Summer Library theme. During three of those summers, he was chosen to appear at all the Delaware libraries as part of an Arts Council grant.
He has also brought educational programs, including his Ready for Reading authors program, to schools in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
And Rick has performed at the Elkton Fall Fest in Elkton, Maryland and the University of Delaware’s Ag Day Festival.
